Police seal aluminum smelting, charcoal production industry in North Jakarta

The police have sealed an aluminum smelting and charcoal production home industry in Cilincing, North Jakarta, after residents complained of health issues because of the smoke emitted from the production.
The police also confiscated evidence such as aluminum waste mold, raw aluminum, refined aluminum dust, a milling machine, a furnace and fuel for burning.

Putrajaya schools to close Tuesday as haze hits 'very unhealthy' levels

Schools in Putrajaya will be closed due to the haze on Tuesday (Sept 17). In a statement issued by the Putrajaya Education Department, it noted that the Air Pollutant Index (API) reading for Putrajaya was over 200 at 5pm on Monday (Sept 16).
According to Bernama, 25 schools in Putrajaya will be affected. It includes 15 primary schools and 10 secondary schools. At the time of writing, the API reading at 8pm was at 202.

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he felt "embarrassed" as he tried to shield his family from allegations he raped a woman in the United States.Ronaldo was accused of sexually assaulting Kathryn Mayorga in a Las Vegas hotel in June 2009.The Portugal forward, a five-time Champions League winner, strongly denied the claims and the investigation was originally closed 10 years ago.It reopened in August 2018, shortly before Mayorga filed a civil lawsuit in September and offered details she initially withheld.

Jakarta-Cikampek elevated toll-road to open this Christmas

Toll-road construction company PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) executive director Djoko Dwijono is targeting for the Jakarta-Cikampek II elevated toll road to start operating at the end of the year to accommodate the traffic flow during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
During a site visit attended by directors and commissioners of state toll-road operator PT Jasa Marga, Djoko expressed his optimism that the new toll road would be finished on time.

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is seeking to speed up the development of four priority tourist destinations across the country, as part of his administration’s efforts to boost the country’s tourism industry.
The four priorities are Borobudur temple in Magelang, Central Java; Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara and Mandalika tourist area in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
